I was one of the very few ski photographers commercially active at the time, to routinely
use a wide angle lens (24mm) to photograph ski action shots. I felt that lens gave me an
immediacy of being in the photograph that was un-available with anything else. At one time
or the other, I had all the skiers I knew jump off this cornice in
the upper bowl at Snowbird, while I would hang out just below the lip waiting for their ski
tips to leave the snow, cutting out into the air. Usually it produced
some great shots, of which this shot with Jennifer is representative of. While she
normally was not into being quite so daring, she was willing to try it for a chance at
